Windows 11 introduces a major visual overhaul under the codename Sun Valley. A large portion of the new user experience is inspired by the canceled Windows 10X shell, bringing a modern and refined interface while keeping familiar functionality.

What's New in Windows 11:

- Completely new design:
Windows 11 features a refreshed and modern UI. Microsoft prepared the Sun Valley redesign for a long time, with many details revealed through insider builds and concept renders. The new look provides a clear visual break from Windows 10.

- Floating Start Menu & system elements:
The Start menu and system panels float above the taskbar, giving the desktop a cleaner appearance. The changes are mostly visual, while the core functionality of the Start menu remains familiar. The Action Center and control buttons are merged into a modern, island-style layout.

- Rounded corners (fillets):
Sharp corners are replaced with rounded edges across most UI elements, including windows, context menus, and system panels, resulting in a softer and more contemporary look.

- Transparency & blur effects:
Acrylic transparency and blur effects are used throughout the interface, from the Start menu to File Explorer. These effects add depth and improve visual clarity, with increased spacing around interactive elements.

- New default font:
Windows 11 uses the responsive Segoe UI Variable font, optimized for both small and large text, improving readability compared to the classic Segoe UI font.

- Updated system icons:
Legacy icons dating back to Windows 95 are finally removed. All system icons, including those in the Shell32 library, are redesigned to match the modern Windows 11 style.

- Functional improvements:
While most changes are subtle, Windows 11 integrates features originally planned for Windows 10X, such as a system tray indicator showing when the camera is in use.
