NX X Manufacturing
NX X Manufacturing is a secure cloud-based CAM solution with all the flexibility and scalability benefits that CAM provides. This online CAM solution allows companies to develop a comprehensive digital twin via a cloud-enabled service maintained by Siemens.



With NX X Manufacturing, you can:

• Purchase packages of capabilities that are tailored to different levels of complexity in manufacturing operations and to specific product development use cases.
  
• Utilize cloud-centralized license management, configuration, and updates.
  
• Access secure and trusted data cloud collaboration via Teamcenter Share.
  
• For more information on Teamcenter Share, see Introduction to Teamcenter Share.
  
• Access information in the way that works best for you and your team through a desktop application or Teamcenter Share.
  

Installation
The NX X Manufacturing installation includes NX software and Siemens Connector. Siemens Connector is installed automatically. The NX software gives you access to the CAM functionality you are assigned to. The Siemens Connector gives access to your cloud location database, known as Teamcenter Share, via a local file on your desktop so that you can download and upload efficiently. To install NX X Manufacturing, your administrator must add you as an NX X Manufacturing user. You then receive a welcome email with instructions to download and install Siemens Software Center.
NX X Manufacturing accounts and licensing
When you purchase NX X Manufacturing, an email is automatically sent to an Enterprise Cloud Account (ECA) administrator. The email contains information that the administrator uses to activate the cloud account and add users using the Siemens Xcelerator Admin Console.



You can purchase NX X Manufacturing with the following prepackaged license bundles:

• NX X Manufacturing Standard-Create, edit, and postprocess NC jobs for prismatic parts.
  
• NX X Manufacturing Advanced-Create, edit, and postprocess NC jobs for prismatic, mold and die, and 3-axis parts.
  
• NX X Manufacturing Premium-Create, edit, and postprocess NC jobs for prismatic, mold and die, and complex parts.
  

The following table lists the capabilities that each license bundle offers:



Each license bundle includes collaboration for Teamcenter Share, with an option to upgrade to Teamcenter X Premium for advanced capabilities. An administrator must assign a license bundle to a user to allow them to download, install, and run NX X Manufacturing.
Manufacturing value-based licensing
NX X Manufacturing also offers the flexibility of value-based licensing (VBL) which allows you to purchase packs of NX X Manufacturing tokens based on the number of users and the add-on products you use.
After you purchase a license bundle, you can also purchase the Manufacturing VBL that is available in token packs of 25, 50, or 100. The Manufacturing VBL functionality that is available to you is based on the NX X Manufacturing license bundle you have.
The purchased tokens become part of a common token pool. When a team member uses an add-on product from the Manufacturing token pool, its token value is subtracted from the available pool, and when a team member is finished with the product, its value is added back to the pool.
Currently, NX X Manufacturing does not support username-license-based add-ons.
NX X Manufacturing admin console
You can access NX X Manufacturing from the Siemens Xcelerator Admin Console. The console displays information about the product, your license, and user information. The Products panel lists the installed products. When you select NX X Manufacturing, the console displays related information as shown.

• The Overview tab displays the storage capacity, product expiration date, number of tokens, number of users, and so on.
  
• Under Users, for each license bundle, the total number of seats or users is categorized and displayed, if you have purchased multiple license bundles.
  

Assigned Users
The Assigned Users tab lists all the NX X Manufacturing users that are associated with the Enterprise Cloud Account (ECA).

• Details about each user such as their contact information, license bundle, the user role, and license status are displayed.
  
• You can also add, edit, import, or delete users.
  

License Details
The License Details tab displays all the license information for each license.

• The Product ID column displays the Stock Keeping Units (SKUs). Each SKU corresponds to a different tier, or license bundle.
  
• Other columns list details for each SKU, such as start and end date, storage capacity in GB, and so on.
