Detailed Drawings: Configuration Option force_new_file_options_dialog Renamed to allow_default_templates
The existing config.pro option force_new_file_options_dialog with values yes and no has been renamed to allow_default_templates to better align with its functionality and add more value.
When the allow_default_templates option is set to yes* (default value), the Use default template option is enabled and the check box is selected by default for all modes when creating new objects (for both models and drawings). This behavior is similar to force_new_file_options_dialog option set to no.
When the allow_default_templates option is set to drawing, the Use default template option is enabled only when a new drawing is created. This behavior is similar to force_new_file_options_dialog option set to yes
When the allow_default_templates option is set to no, the Use default template option is not available for both new models and drawings.
Model-Based Definition: Default Reference Type for Dimension Creation in Model-Based Definition Models
In Model-Based Definition (MBD) models, newly created dimensions will use the surface reference type by default. Subsequent dimensions will continue to use the most recently applied reference type.
When creating dimensions in MBD, surface type references are required to ensure the dimensions are created in a semantic and machine-readable way. This enhancement streamlines and improves the dimension creation workflow by updating the Select Reference to use surface type by default. It also reduces the number of clicks needed to create a dimension in MBD.
