Windows 11 version 26H1 is a preview platform update that focuses on a small set of general improvements rather than major new features. This is the only H1 release in four years of Windows 11. After releasing Windows 11 version 25H2, Microsoft began testing 26H1 in the Canary Channel.

This update is intended as a platform update for specific processors. While Microsoft has not officially confirmed the target hardware, rumors suggest that Windows 11 26H1 may be exclusive to Snapdragon X2 Elite processors. The expected launch timeframe is the first half of 2026.

• Click-to-Do (AI Features): New AI-powered capabilities, including "Convert to Table" for transforming text into Excel tables and more flexible selection methods.

• Quick Machine Recovery: A new recovery feature designed to reduce downtime and simplify system recovery.
  
• Removable Apps: Ability to remove certain pre-installed Microsoft Store apps via Group Policy or MDM CSP on Enterprise and Education devices.
  
• Feature Removals: Older components such as PowerShell 2.0 and WMIC have been removed to enhance security and efficiency.
