Windows 11 introduces a major visual overhaul codenamed Sun Valley. Many user interface elements are inspired by the canceled Windows 10X shell, bringing a cleaner, more modern experience. With this release, Microsoft delivers not only design changes but also multiple usability improvements.

What's New in Windows 11:

- Completely new design:
Windows 11 features a refreshed interface, giving Microsoft a strong reason to move beyond Windows 10. The Sun Valley redesign has been in development for a long time, with numerous leaks and insider previews revealing its modern aesthetic.

- Floating Start Menu & system panels:
The Start menu and system elements now float above the taskbar, giving the interface a lighter and more modern look. Functionality remains largely unchanged, but the visual redesign makes the system feel fresher. The Control Panel and Action Center follow the same floating style, with notifications and controls separated into clean, island-style panels.

- Rounded corners (fillets):
Sharp angles are replaced with rounded corners across most interface elements, including context menus, system panels, and application windows, contributing to a softer, more contemporary design.

- Transparency & blur effects:
Acrylic transparency and blur effects are used throughout the system, from the Start menu to File Explorer. These effects improve visual depth and readability while increasing spacing between interactive elements.

- New default font:
Windows 11 adopts the responsive Segoe UI Variable font, optimized for both small and large text, improving clarity and consistency across the interface.

- Updated system icons:
Legacy icons dating back to Windows 95 are finally replaced. All system icons, including those in the Shell32 library, receive a modern redesign.

- Functional improvements:
While most innovations are subtle, Windows 11 integrates features originally planned for Windows 10X, such as a system tray indicator showing when the camera is in use.
